Your body is doing
something extraordinary.
It deserves to be
photographed that way.
Intimate, empowering maternity portraits that celebrate what you are becoming, before this season of your life passes.
WHAT THIS IS
Standard maternity photography documents a pregnancy. This is something different. A maternity boudoir session is about celebrating the woman, her strength, her form, this specific version of her body, with the same intimacy and intention as any boudoir session.
Pregnancy transforms the body in ways that most women never fully allow themselves to appreciate. This session creates the space to do exactly that, to be photographed not as someone waiting for what comes next, but as someone extraordinary, right now, as you are.
Not a maternity shoot.
A portrait of a woman
in full bloom.
These are portraits you will keep for the rest of your life. Images your child will one day look at. A record of a season that will pass, and shouldn’t go undocumented at this level.
The body you have right now is doing something no other body has ever done in quite this way.
WHEN TO BOOK
The window for maternity boudoir is short. Here’s how to think about it.
Timing matters.
24–27 Weeks
Early
The bump is visible but still developing. A good option if you want a softer, more subtle silhouette or if you have a demanding schedule in later weeks.
28–34 Weeks
The Sweet Spot
The bump is full and beautifully rounded. Energy is generally still strong. Mobility is comfortable. This is the window most clients aim for, and where the most striking images are made.
35–36 Weeks
Late
Still possible, and some of the most dramatic images come from this stage. Comfort during the session is important, we move slowly and build in rest. Timing is tight, so book early.
Book your session date 6–8 weeks before your ideal shoot week. Babies don’t always follow the plan, having a date locked in early gives us flexibility.
OUR WORK
A glimpse at what's possible
Every session is different. Every expecting mother brings something to the frame that no one else could. These are a few examples of what that looks like.
THE EXPERIENCE
What to expect
from your session.
Every maternity boudoir session is adapted for your comfort and your stage of pregnancy.
Hair & Makeup Included
Professional styling is included in every session. Your artist is briefed on your pregnancy and works with products safe for expectant mothers throughout.
Fully Guided & Supported
Every pose is directed with your comfort and safety in mind. We move at your pace, build in rest, and never put you in a position that doesn’t feel right.
Wardrobe Flexibility
Options range from draped fabric and sheer overlays to lingerie designed for pregnancy, to nothing at all. We work with whatever feels right for you and your vision.
Private Studio Environment
Sessions take place in our private Round Rock studio, a controlled, quiet environment where temperature, light, and comfort are all in our hands.
Partner Welcome
Partners are welcome to be present for support, or for a few frames together if that’s something you want. The session is designed around you, their involvement is entirely your call.
Private Image Reveal
1–2 weeks after your session, you return to see your images in a private reveal. Album design, wall art, and any additional products selected together at that appointment.
COMMON QUESTIONS
The questions
most expecting mothers are too nervous to ask.
There are no wrong questions here. If something isn't covered, ask it in your consultation, that's exactly what it's for.
-
Yes. We adapt every element of the session for your stage of pregnancy. Poses are chosen for comfort and safety, products used during hair and makeup are pregnancy-safe, the studio temperature is controlled, and we build rest time into the session. Always let us know if anything doesn’t feel right, we adjust immediately.
-
Completely fine. Some of the most striking maternity boudoir images are made with sheer fabric, a draped sheet, or a beautifully fitted piece of lingerie. Nudity is never required or assumed. We discuss your comfort level before the session and work entirely within it.
-
Maternity sessions typically run 60–90 minutes, plus approximately 60 minutes for hair and makeup. We build extra time into the schedule so there’s no rush; you can sit, rest, and move at whatever pace feels comfortable.
-
We send a full Boudoir Prep Guide after booking with specific guidance for maternity sessions. In general: arrive in loose, comfortable clothing with no tight waistbands, wear no makeup, and have your hair clean and dry. Wardrobe options, lingerie, fabric, sheer wraps, are discussed and planned during your pre-session consultation.
-
Yes, partners are welcome. If you’d like a few frames together, we plan that into the session. The experience is built around you first and foremost, but shared images are absolutely possible and often some of the most meaningful.
-
Never without your written consent. Every client signs a separate portfolio release if they choose to allow any images to be shared. The default is complete privacy. For full details, see our Privacy Guarantee.
